Tutoring services

The scope, schedule, format, fees, and other details of tutoring are agreed with the parent, guardian, or adult student when services are arranged. Tutoring may be provided individually or in groups and may take place online.

Parent and guardian responsibility

A parent or legal guardian must arrange services for a minor and is responsible for providing accurate information, maintaining appropriate supervision, and ensuring the student has a safe and suitable environment for online learning.

Accounts and portal access

• Portal access is limited to authorized users.
• You must use your own authorized account and keep access credentials secure.
• You must not attempt to access another person's records or restricted functions.
• You must notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
• We may suspend access to protect users, records, or the service.

Fees, cancellations, and refunds

Fees and payment timing are communicated when tutoring is arranged. Cancellation, rescheduling, missed-session, credit, and refund terms will be communicated directly and form part of the applicable tutoring arrangement. If no specific term has been agreed, contact us before cancelling or rescheduling.

Acceptable use

You may not:

• Use the website or portal unlawfully or disrupt its operation.
• Upload malicious code or attempt to bypass security controls.
• Copy, scrape, redistribute, or commercially exploit protected content without permission.
• Harass tutors, students, families, or other users.
• Submit false, misleading, or unnecessarily sensitive information.

Learning materials and intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, website content and materials supplied by WinAvid Academy are owned by or licensed to WinAvid Academy. They are provided for the enrolled student's personal educational use and may not be published, sold, or broadly distributed without written permission.

Third-party services

Our services may rely on or link to third-party platforms, including Google services. Their availability and use are governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.

Educational outcomes

We aim to provide thoughtful and effective instruction, but academic results, grades, examination outcomes, admission decisions, and future performance cannot be guaranteed. Results depend on many factors, including participation and independent practice.

Service availability

We may maintain, change, suspend, or discontinue website or portal features. We will take reasonable care in operating the service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, WinAvid Academy is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from use of the website, portal, materials, or third-party services. Nothing in these terms excludes a right or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as our services or legal obligations change. Continued use after updated terms take effect constitutes acceptance of those terms, subject to applicable law.

Applicable law

These terms are governed by the applicable laws of Canada and the province or territory in which WinAvid Academy operates, without limiting mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.
